Star Moss is best suited for terrariums where it’s planted submersed – the roots are fully submerged in water but the leaves are fully exposed to air. This plant can be a challenge when planting fully submerged in an aquarium because its difficult to make it a true aquatic plant.
Star Moss (Hyophila Involuta), also know as Cement Moss, Star Moss or Twisted Moss  is a lawn-forming moss with upright shoots. It has leaves that grow densely and with a spiral shape giving it the “star” appearance. This plant can live in limestone rocks, moist house foundations (thus the name cement moss), walls on the shore and on rocks. Like many other moss plants, it can cultivated with cutting or dividing.
