UVB 5.0 CFL Light – 26w

Compact Fluorescent UVB 5.0 bulb, 26 watts, ideal for tropical animals.

5.0 bulbs are designed to emulate moderate UVB levels, such as those experienced by animals that live on the forest floor, where the majority of UV radiation is absorbed or reflected by dense plant life above.

This bulb provides UVB rays of light which promotes the synthesis of vitamins that are necessary for many reptiles to metabolize essential calcium.

Please note: Reptile UVB tubes/bulbs will lose their intensity and undergo a spectrum shift away from the useful UV light gradually over time. It is recommended that you replace your light tube every 12 months to satisfy your reptiles lighting requirements.
