Aquaforest Lava Soil is a substrate that is based on volcanic lava that is perfect for any freshwater aquarium. This product creates the optimal conditions that you need for plant growth. It gradually releases minerals into the water and supports the multiplication of beneficial microorganisms.
The unique structure of Aquaforest Lava Soil facilitates the rooting of aquatic plants. It also prevents the formation of anaerobic zones in which bacteria can produce toxic hydrogen sulfide to develop. It guarantees better water circulation in the substrate of the tank and helps to balance the distribution of nutrients. You will find that your plants absorb more or the nutrients.
Although the substrate is thoroughly rinsed, the water may look a bit hazy right after you fill the aquarium. This haziness is natural, does not cause any side effects and disappears after about 12 hours.
Due to the high content of minerals, we recommend limiting the dosage of micronutrient fertilizers during the first half year of tank’s set up.
HOW TO USE:
Place approximately 7 cm layer of AF Lava Soil in the bottom of the tank.
Fill with water to the level of approx. 10 cm and plant as required.
